Boasting 3800+ students in our 33 fraternities and sororities, UM’s Greek Life focuses on giving students real-life experience while networking along the way, whether it be through mentoring programs or alumni involvement.

Association of Greek Letter Organizations

The Association of Greek Letter Organizations associates the representatives of the Interfraternity Council, the Multicultural Greek Council, the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc., and the Panhellenic Association for the purpose of promoting the interests of all social Greek fraternities and sororities at the University of Miami.

  • Comprised of the 33 recognized social fraternities and sororities on campus
  • Provides a forum for discussion between all four councils
  • Provides the Fraternity and Sorority Community programming throughout the year, including events such as Greek 101s, New Member Symposium, Greeks and Goblins, Leadership Conference, Greek Week, Apple Polishing Reception, the Annual Awards Banquet, as well as multiple on-campus events.

  • About IFC

    The Interfraternity Council is the advisory, supervisory, and governing body of all the NIC and other national governing councils member fraternities at the University of Miami. It shall strive for positive public relations between the individual fraternities, the Greek community, and the University. It shall promote scholarship among its members and uphold the standards and regulations of the University of Miami. It shall promote the interests of its members and the University to the end that the conditions of the fraternities and their relations with the University may be improved.

    The purpose of MGC is to promote and foster positive interfraternal relations, effective communication between, and further the development of all culturally -based fraternal organizations at the University of Miami through mutual respect, leadership, honesty, professionalism and education.

    MGC educates the University and global community regarding environmental, political, cultural, and social affairs, which affect various ethnic, racial, or other culturally identifying groups by promoting and supporting strong educational programs by the MGC member organizations.

Greek Ally Unity

Greek Ally Unity exists to create a culture of acceptance, representation, and inclusion for all members of the Greek community at the University of Miami, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. We aim to achieve this by facilitating coalitions, educational programs, and meaningful conversations surrounding LGBTQ issues in order to foster a welcoming environment between all fellow brothers and sisters.
